Awards, club kit, subsidised qualifier fees and coach trips at 2019 AGM

Our 2019 AGM reported on the 30 events/clinics organised by the club through 2019, an increased membership take up and a club profit for the year of over £4,000.  The club had used surplus funds during the year to keep training fees low and was keen now to hear of further suggestions.  It was agreed the priorities should be to continue to offer affordable training but also to subsidise qualifier fees by paying some or all of the prelim entry fee to BRC on behalf of members.  The club had also had a series of horse event coach trips (Badminton, Burleigh, Blenheim, etc) put together and would undertake a members survey to see whether any were of interest and at what sort of price.

Although BRC costs would increase for 2020 it was proposed and agreed that the membership fee would remain at £25 for the year. Members present were able to renew at £20.

Short reports were given on some of the clubs work including the  training clinics, the senior and junior teams, the summer SJ and dressage, the Pentillie fun ride and the new endurance squad.

The Chair was keen to thank all participants, all volunteers, who this year had contributed over 500 hours of help, and her committee, including Lauree Morrish (clinics), Sharon Peter (Pentillie fun ride) and Rachael (club clothing) who were now standing down after another year of very significant contribution to the club.

The awards were presented by Cathy Busby for the club points scheme (both general and for dressage); and for volunteering (both for members and non members).  A full list of awards is reported under the results tab – congratulations to everyone for their very well deserved awards.
