About East Cornwall Riding Club

East Cornwall Riding Club was formed in 1971 and is affiliated to the British Riding Clubs as part of the British Horse Society, we cater for members from 11 years of age. The club has over 140 members and its main aim is to promote and encourage riding as a recreational sport and to promote good fellowship among riders.

During the summer (April – September) the club puts on a variety of events at local venues in East Cornwall. The events include showjumping, dressage, showing and training with experienced and professional instructors.  We also utilise the excellent facilities at Pontispool to put on a spring residential camp where horse and rider can experience a holiday away together.

In the winter we hold showjumping and dressage competitions as well as instruction at the Duchy college in Callington and Polean Equestrian Centre near Looe.

The club actively supports Area 19 of the British Riding Club organisation by sending teams to the Riding Club Qualifiers competing against other Clubs in Area 19 in the hope of sending teams to the British Riding Club National Championships.

We are a friendly club that encourages all abilities and we try to ensure that everyone who attends our events has a good safe time.
